The sacramental information is critical for our sacramental records and a teen cannot be Confirmed until we have this information AND supporting documentation from their parish of baptism.

If you have chosen to take a Confirmation Name please enter it in that field. You do not HAVE to choose a Confirmation name that is different than your given first name. If you do, however, you should select a name from the Bible, or a canonized saint of the Catholic Church. The saint you choose should reflect a devotion you have to the saint, virtues or gifts to which you aspire, or the patron saint of certain gifts that are dear to you.

Finally, the most important part of choosing a Confirmation name is to pray, asking the Holy Spirit to guide your choice.

Sponsor Information

Confirmation Sponsor Name

Sponsors MUST obtain a Confirmation Sponsor Certificate from their home parish. They should contact their home parish office and indicate that they need a Sponsor Certificate. Their parish will validate that they are a registered, active, and practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church. The parish will then issue a Certificate with the signature of the Pastor. That certificate needs to be delivered to St. Barnabas Parish Office, attention to Life Teen. Sometimes parishes will mail it to us, other times the sponsor will need to pick it up from the parish and get it to us themselves.

The person I have chosen to be my sponsor is a good role model in the fath, is a fully initiated Catholic (receieved Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation), is in good standing with the Church, and is actively practicing Catholic (weekly Mass attendance).
